Harvest Blessings

May the “Lord of the Harvest” bless you abundantly in 2019.

As a new year of ministry begins, we would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your prayers, encouragement and the ways you have supported us last year. We hope you experienced a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. We pray it will prove to be your best and most fruitful year yet knowing and serving the Lord Jesus. He alone is worthy of our very best!

Last year was personally a difficult year for Sherri and me. You may recall that we suffered totally unexpected health challenges. We are thankful for the many prayers and good wishes that went up before God’s throne on our behalf. Many people have inquired how we are doing. We are in recovering mode and expecting to be back in China soon.

Many blessings have come about because of these experience. It helped us to prayerfully rethink International Ambassadors for Christ’s strategy, resulting in us being a even more streamlined ministry, more focused than ever before, and doing all we can to share the Good News and transforming power of the Lord Jesus with and through our co-workers in China.

The world continues to be an unstable place, and we are thankful and privileged for every day we have to serve the Lord Jesus in China. Despite the gloomy news coming out of China, we want to encourage you that the Lord Jesus Christ is still in complete control of this world. He has been steadily reaping the harvest among the nations, and tens of thousands of people daily experience salvation in China. The kingdom of Jesus is expanding and He is the victor!

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:35-38 NIV

The spiritual harvest bringing people from unbelief to faith and eternal life continues and we realize we cannot achieve any of this without your prayers and involvement. Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.2 Corinthians 9:6 NIV. We plan to keep marching forward, determined to lift up the banner of Jesus Christ among China’s unreached peoples, and we invite you to again join us in 2019 in helping this vision become a reality.

In the Bible, we know of a great man named Abraham. God had a covenant with him. In Genesis 17, God told Abraham that if he walked blameless, He would make a covenant with him. “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Genesis 17:1-2. Imagine how much discipline Abraham had in all areas of his life. Here are some of the seeds Abraham sowed to receive a “Harvest of Blessings” from God. We can all sow them too. It may not be easy, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

He obeyed God
He took action
He worshiped
He maintained peace
He was generous
He had perseverance
He had gratitude
He was disciplined
He had integrity
He walked by faith

God wants us to have a prosperous harvest in our life. He gives us choices to make every single day. We can either make wise or foolish choices. God won’t force our hand in either direction. Remember, we will always receive a harvest on everything we have sown. What that harvest will be is up to us.

We pray you and your loved ones will draw nearer to the Lord than ever before, and as you surrender your life to the Living God, He will use you to exalt the Name of Jesus, who said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32 NIV

25 Years of Ministry

1993 -2018

God is moving in China. Despite what you may have heard about the systematic suppression of Christianity by the government, openness to Christ exists among the Chinese people. Christian churches are thriving. Our church overflow area has hundreds of people standing at the front door trying to hear. People start to arrive at 4:30 am and by 6 am the sanctuary is full with people praying for the 8:30 am service. If only churches at home were so full of spiritually hungry men and women!

Rolf is going back late spring 2019 to increase the number of local outreach teams to continue the dramatic growth. All that is needed now are the resources to get them into the hands of those who desire to know the Lord. This is truly an incredible opportunity while the doors are still open to reach the people hungry for the truth. Would you be willing to help?

You may be like one of our supporter who said, “Rolf and Sherri, we get your ministry letter every month and were are praying for you…but you need to be more specific when you say you need money for the ministry!”

Well, that’s an invitation we hardly can refuse. When all is set and done, it costs us $6000 each month to keep the ministry going. Yes, it costs money to travel to China twice a year and stay each time for four months to serve the Lord and work the neglected fields with our local co-workers. That’s everything, from air travels, conference/training meetings, equipment and supplies, materials for discipleship/evangelism, salaries, health insurances, apartment rental and auto/rail expenses to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with men and women to impact their lives for eternity.

I don’t know about you, but it’s always easier for us to see support in bite-size pieces. For instance, if 60 people commit $100 per month it would cover all our expenses for the coming year. It gets even easier to reach the budget goal if 120 people participate each with a monthly gift of $50. Maybe you can only give a gift of $25 or $10 a month. That is also great. With God’s blessing, together we can make it happen every month. It’s amazing what can be accomplished with so little when we all rally around God’s projects.

God provides for the ministry of International Ambassadors for Christ through “gift giving strategies.” If God is leading you to make a special end of the year contribution, or if you would like to begin monthly investments in our ministry please make your tax deductible check payable to “International Ambassadors for Christ” and mail it before December 31 to: P.O. Box 545, Saint Charles, IL 60174-0545 USA. It will make a large impact in China. We appreciate your prayerful consideration.

God is working in China. We could never have imagined the day would come celebrating 25 Years of Ministry training, teaching, mentoring, motivating and encouraging leaders. Please prayerfully consider how you might be a part owner in reaching spiritually hungry men and women in China. Thank you for your faithful prayers, encouragements and sacrificial support to make this all possible.
