Visa is in hand, airline reservations are made, an apartment is secured, and the doctor has okayed him for travel so Rolf will be leaving on Sunday, March 31st to return to China – finally!! It has been over a year wait to be able to get back but praise God health is now good for both of us and we feel that this is the time for him to be able to go back. Thank you for all you prayers as we went through all the challenges of last year!
”God is our refuge and strength, an ever – present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
Rolf will be returning to the same business school to teach business and finance and they are glad to have him back! He will have classes Monday through Thursday 2pm – 6pm with Fridays off. On Saturdays will be his “Faith or Fiction” class from 9am – noon. His five leaders have been keeping the “Faith or Fiction” class going ever since Rolf left. Right now a new class started the beginning of March with 195 that signed up! Rolf’s plan when he returns is to also teach a class and train up a couple more leaders to be able to teach.
It is so exciting to be part of what God is doing in China and to see this ministry grow and lives changed! This is happening because of our team, that would be YOU being there with us with your love, support and prayers. We are so grateful and thankful for you joining us on this adventure and for your part in changing lives for eternity!! To God be the glory!!!
Quoting from the Open Doors ministry, “China rose 16 spots (now #27) on the World Watch List in the last year, a stunning leap impacted by increased pressure on Christians and churches.”
• PRAY for the growth of believers from minority people groups that are from Muslim and Buddhist backgrounds.
• PRAY for Chinese Christians to stand strong amidst tightening religious restrictions and to engage in cross-cultural missions effectively.
• PRAY that Christ will reveal Himself to government officials who seek to control the church.
So with that being said please PRAY for Rolf, his leaders and the students they are ministering to for safety and protection. Give them boldness with caution.
PRAY for safety in traveling – it’s a long flight with an overnight in Beijing visiting friends. PRAY for good health for both he and Sherri. And for Sherri with a long 3 month absence at home missing him.
“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians4:17-18
