Summer is over and it is time for Rolf to say good bye and to return to China and his students. These good byes are hard but being a part of what God is doing in China does make it a little easier.
Actually the school wanted him back the beginning of September because that is when the regular classes started. But because of timing of when he needs to be home again and the visa requirement that he must leave the country every 90 days he was OK’s to be back by the 1st of October. He will be leaving Monday, September 29th so he can return home at the end of the year to take care of end of year business.
For his safe return and readjusting quickly back to China time and life.
With school already started, a smooth return to classes and his students.
For the start-up of a new “Faith or Fiction” class.
That we both keep our eyes fixed firmly on Jesus .
For Sherri’s adjustment to him being gone again.
“Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.” II Thessalonians 3:1 NLT.
You may be asking – what was the outcome of all the computer issues…when you last heard from us Sherri’s computer was with the Geek Squad for the second time. After another long wait we brought it home and once again – still not working. The Geek Squad finally admitted Samsung had a problem with this model and we were one of 1% that was affected by it! They ended up compensating us for what we paid for it toward another computer (of course a comparable one now costs a little more!). Then we had to bring in our computer person to get it up and running and transfer the data from the laptop she had been using. But now after over a month of time, frustration and money all is well, up and running and back in business!
We thank God for the privilege of serving Him in China and for YOU, our team journeying with us with your love, prayers and support.
