The Aurora Breakfast Prayer Committee appreciates your willingness to share your personal Christian testimony with our men’s group on Thursday. Please mark your calendar today so that you won’t forget your speaking engagement. The enclosed program will give you some additional information regarding this weekly prayer and testimony fellowship that many people have enjoyed over the past forty plus years.
You will notice that our theme for this year is “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15 NIV. We begin our program at 7:00 AM with a song, some sharing of personal and general joys and concerns for prayer, a brief Bible reading selected by you and read by the person assigned for that day, and a time of prayer lead by the person on the schedule for that day.
At about 7:20 AM the Breakfast Leader for the day, will introduce the speaker to the audience and you will have 20-25 minutes to share with us how you lived your life before knowing Christ, how you came to know Christ, what changes have been taking place since you received Christ, and what Jesus Christ means to you today. The men like to use about five minutes after your testimony to respond to you or ask clarifying questions, and at 7:45 AM we have a closing prayer and song.
Please feel free to call if you have any additional questions. Also, if you are not able to speak as scheduled for whatever reason, please call with the name and phone number of the person substituting for you on that day.
If you are not a regular participant of the “Aurora Breakfast Prayer Group” we would be happy to have you attend any or all meetings prior to the one in which you will speak, or join us afterwards on a regular weekly basis where you’ll discover encouraging, biblical answers to all important questions of life.
Men from all walks of life who find spiritual empowerment in Christian fellowship. There are no dues or formal membership, and all men are welcome. Come join us and bring a friend along.
We look forward to hearing your Christian witness.
